About Us...Church of the King
Church of the King has been serving Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa since 1979.  We are a family church, full gospel teaching center, and promote world outreach.  We function as a new testament church to meet the needs of people and instruct them in the teachings of the Scriptures.

We seek to be a church for end times.  As a last-days church, we must literally reflect God's original purpose and power.   We seek to dissolve all boundaries:  denominational, national, geographically, and spiritually.  The character of God's church should speak of the character of God and, therefore, should be pure and holy.  We seek to promote the development and manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit and His gifts.

We promote centering the message of the church in Jesus Christ:

  • By acknowledging Him as Savior and Lord
  • By allowing Him to be our baptizer in the Holy Spirit
  • By allowing Him to be our Great Physician
  • By having our hope in His return as our returning King

We seek, as a church, to do everything in the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.  We seek to be a mission-minded church here at home and around the world.  We seek to be a church on the cutting edge of society, standing firm on the principles God has given to us, but also eager to change and move in the new directions God gives to us.

  • Worship the King - The main reason we come together as a family of God is to worship the Lord.  When we humbly put our faith and trust in Him we receive His blessing, guidance and peace that passes all understanding.  We hope you experience the healing touch of His grace.
  • Serve the Lord - We are privileged to serve the living God.  And we count it a responsibility and an honor to serve others as Jesus Christ served us.  At our church, there are many opportunities for you to use your gifts to reach out to others.
  • Learn the Word - We believe the Bible is God's perfect Word and is relevant to every generation.  The Scriptures instruct us in truth and inspire us to please God with our daily lives.  We hope you join us in studying the Word!
  • Enrich Your Lives - Being a believer in Jesus is a wonderful adventure!  There are many ways members can experience the life-changing touch of God here;  through exciting ministries, Bible studies and special programs, children and adults of all ages can live out their faith in action.
  • Build Lasting Friendships - The bonds between Christian friendships are like no others.  We believe in cultivating relationships and strengthening these bonds between member of our church.  You'll discover that encouragement, accountability, service and love are the hallmarks of friendships here.  And our arms are always open to welcome new friends!
